Book in a Box

A mini book in a box that I made for my mum last year.  The concept was from Lyn Jordan, The Scrapbook Store.  I used Cosmo's Togetherness range from my stash along with some K and Company Ephemera cutouts that I purchsed from Scrap Box NZ.  The cute wee dog is one of them!

The book folds out concertina style, and then folds away into a cute wee box tied with ribbon.

I used a set of black and white index prints of my boys.

Hope you're having a great weekend.  It's a long weekend here.  We're nearing the end of the school holidays.  I have to say I am kinda ready but will probably be sad when the time comes.  First day for Mr 5 year old.  Hugs.  Sally.

Starring Lisa, Lyn and Iemke

First up a stunning creation that I received from my friend Lisa in Australia http://stampandchatwithlisa.wordpress.com/.  I really love the colour, texture and detail in this card. Thanks Lisa!

Lyn H and I had a wonderful time using our PTI stamps we went halvsies in this season. This tag was created by Lyn.  Gorgeous.

Finally two creations from Iemke.  We are a bad influence on each other when it comes to ordering stamping and scrapping supplies LOL.  I love her stylised layering and design.

That's it for now peeps.  xoS

Jungle Party

Jungle card using Stampin' Up stamps.  Don't own these but they are too cute LOL

I love the creative planning and of party ideas around a theme.  Having the time and energy to execute these ideas is another story- especially right before Christmas LOL.  Needless to say that it all went well- but I was thankful that I wan't making Christmas dinner this year as I had had enough of the kitchen by then.

Lion cupcakes.  Not quite like the magazine pic but quite cute
The SNAKE cake that took 2 1/2 hours to decorate.  Each 'scale' had to be rolled flat and colour sorted.  Not hard, just time consuming.  Fortunately I had my bro and SIL visiting for help with rolling and moral support.  LOL

Hope the holidays are going well bloggers. xoSally.

Happy New Year

Kia Ora Peeps.  It's been a nice day.  A little shopping and some time at the beachA teeny tiny bit of time in my craft room.  It's nice that the pace is slower now that Mr 5's Birthday is over as is the 'silly season'.   Kinda wishing that my kids would hurry up and go to sleep LOL.

So above is an owlie kit that I made for a young friend's birthday.  She's not a fan of pink.

...and a Guest Book for my friend's cottage.  I have used this design as a book cover before, and it was originally inspired by a design in a 'Creating Keepsakes' magazine.  The papers are 'Miss Nelly' by Kaisercraft.  Alphas are October Afternoon.
