For the Record

Here are 3 out of 6 layouts that we did in Lyn Jordan's class the other weekend. The paper range is 'Echo Park's For the Record'. Check out Lyn's blog 'The Scrapbook Store'- link on right.

Was great to attend a class- a whole day scrapping, what a treat. Didn't get the 6 finished in a day- but a week's not bad for me! Good to have learnt a few new techniques and the concept of making a set of layouts using the same range is cool. Might give it a go again. Crate paper's RANDOM is sitting on my craft table calling me. Will have to wait for another day cos the sunny day beckons and the boys and I are going out on an adventure.

Got cake?

I have a thing for cupcakes. They are just so lovely and open to being embellished with pretty pink sparklyness. I must have about 3 recipe books devoted to them- not that I bake them that often?! Fun to look and dream tho LOL

So I bit the bullet and bought the 3D cupcake template from Scottie Crafts in their last sale. This is my first (and only!) completed one- part of a friend's birthday gift. The box does open up and can be used for storing little treasures. {heart} the little tag to match.

Blue

To make a change from scrapping on white, cream or kraft! I was inspired by a layout in a CK mag.

'Take Two' because we went down the road of chronic ear infections and grommets with our older boy too.

The blue felt (layered) flower was made by my friend Iemke.

Attended a cool day's workshop on Saturday run by the very talented Lyn Jordan (of 'The Scrapbook Store, link on right). Didn't get through half of the '6 layouts in a day' but was inspiring and neat to spend a whole day out scrapping! Thanks Lyn.

Mud!! Challenge Me Happy.

This time the challenge was a 'recipe'. 1 cardstock, 2 pics, 3 alphas, 4 pps, 5 buttons and 6 staples. Gave it a whirl as I have never following a scrapping recipe. Fun. Better wake Mr 2 as he is still napping and make quiche for tea. xoS.

Scrap Box NZ

Edit: Jumping animal in the window was one of our fur children (a Burmese cat) called Nala. Not a hanging koala haha. NB in NZ we don't have koalas LOL

Here's a layout I did for Fiona over at Scrap Box. I got creative with the Teresa Collins Sports Edition papers. I have a few T C papers but I must say that using her papers does not come easy to me. How ever I got creative and used the safe side of 2/3 of the papers (i.e. to adapt to a not so 'sporty' page). Am quite happy with the result. Happy weekend peeps. Looks like a wet one. Might have to leave the Tahuna Trains till another day. xo

Give

First up a card that I made for one of Ol's preschool teachers who was leaving. A bit different in style to what I normally make. A different colour scheme I think. Anyway, hope she liked it!
...and a wee gift sack. Just realised missing a pearl (LOL). Will have to add another one.

Layouts to come soon I promise! Thanks for stopping by. S.

Pink Tea

Went to a 'High Tea' at Melrose House last weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. This was her birthday card. Notice the teeny tiny scallop tea cup stickers in the corners {love}- Tania loves fine china.

Had the most magnificent PINK herbal tea there- which was in a glass tea pot. Exquisite presentaion. 'Otago Fruit' was the name (Tea Total) and I managed to pick some up from Pomeroys this week. A lovely taste- beetroot, carrot and all (?!).
...and inspired by a card in a mag (Creating Keepsakes I think)....
